The Workshops

This section guides you through the elements of each AWS CloudRoom workshop, episode by episode. Watch the volunteer tutorials to get an understanding of the workshop as a whole, download the guide to prepare your 'Journey to Here' career story presentation and watch examples of other volunteer stories for inspiration.

The workshop episodes come in two forms:

  • An online 'plugged' version, that can be completed on the online platform PictoBlox (LINK)
  • An offline 'unplugged' card game, that allows your students to complete the coding activity using a set of coding playing cards that map out the journey they need to create in order to complete the activity.

If you are required to provide support during the practical activity element of the workshop, the tutorials will guide you through the how to's of the practical activity for each episode, and the Plug 'n' Play workshops will enable yourself and the teacher to follow a fully guided framework for the workshop on the day of AWS CloudRoom.

The Episode Tutorials

In this section you can find video tutorials to explain each stage of the workshop you will be joining for all AWS CloudRoom episodes. We have created a workshop tutorials for both the plugged and unplugged versions of the workshop.

Plug 'n' Play Workshop Episodes

If you are required to support or lead an AWS CloudRoom workshop, you can use the Plug 'n' Play CloudRoom 'App' created for each each episode - these are a fully guided workshops that will allow you to run your own workshop using a pre-set framework, to a fixed time.

That way, you can have full control over how much you lead or present within the practical activity or volunteer story, and when you would like the AWS CloudRoom App to take control.
